A MAN who was threatened with a hammer during a home invasion in Narre Warren South managed to escape and alert his neighbours.
The man was asleep at the Seebeck Drive property when he was woken by a knock at the door and two men forced their way inside.
The raiders threatened the man with a hammer but he managed to escape from the property and alert his neighbours.
Police are still searching for the raiders.
One of them is believed to be short with a solid build and blond hair and the second was disguised with clothing over his face.
No property was stolen from the premises during the incident.
