HITTING the links for the February Medal were 149 players, however it was Andrew Parker (7) who triumphed in the end, winning A Grade with a nett score of 65 on a count-back.
Tony Fry (12) won the B Grade with 65 nett while Arthur Bailey (17) won the C Grade with 66 nett on a count-back. A playoff for the February Medal will be held next month between Andrew Parker, Tony Fry and Warren Sutton.
Playing off a handicap of (13) John Black returned the best score in Sunday’s stableford competition, winning with 41 points to runner-up Mark Jensen-Schmidt (17) with 40 points.
MIDWEEK
Tuesday’s par competition saw Graham Kelly (4) win the A Grade with +7 and John Freeman (35) win the B Grade with +9.
The first round of the Grand Masters Championship was held on Thursday with reigning champion Roy Solomon (8) on the top of the leader board with the best gross score of 76. William Graham (15) returned the best nett score leading with 67 nett.
Thursday’s members competition saw Matt Van der Kraan (6) win the A Grade with 67 nett on count-back. Playing off a handicap of 14, Dave Werner won the B Grade with 67 nett also count-back and Geoff Verhagen (30) won the C Grade with 60 nett.
Playing off a handicap of 18, Romney Whitchurch returned the best score in Friday’s stableford competition with an impressive 43 points.
LADIES
Lee James (24) has just won her fourth Monthly Medal after winning Wednesday Stroke Monthly Medal event with a nett score of 71.
