PHILLIP Island’s three day World Superbike Championship is big value with action and entertainment for all the family.
World superbikes at Phillip Island is a three-day event from 20-22 February.
It kicks off on Friday morning with racing until late Sunday featuring world championship classes of World Superbike and World Supersport and a host of national support classes include Superbike, Supersport and Moto3/ 125GP.
Local attractions, restaurants and retailers are adding to the entertainment package with exclusive offers for those attending the event and staying longer to make it a perfect family escape.
In addition Australia’s former world superbike hero Troy Bayliss is bringing his own special brand of dirt track racing with the Baylisstic Scramble at Lukey Heights.
The exciting new event, boasts some of the biggest names in Australian motorcycle racing, including the host himself, three-time world superbike champion Bayliss, World supersport champion and MotoGP winner Chris Vermeulen, three-time world speedway champion Jason Crump, Mr Motocross icon Stephen Gall and multi-time Australian dirt track champion Paul Caslick.
Each team will have four riders and will battle it out in a round robin format.
Practice will begin on Friday, followed by qualifying and racing on Saturday and Sunday, scheduled for windows outside the international categories.
Freestyle motocross is also set to fire up the action with multiple mounds being constructed on the infield at Doohan Corner, Lukey Heights and Siberia.
A high flying troupe will perform during intervals of on-track activity, with spectators on the outfield getting a bird’s eye view of the dirt kings strutting their stuff.

A three day pass is $110, plus processing fee, or Sunday only just $75, plus processing fee, so cart along the kids because there is no charge for those aged 15 and under.
Bring a bike as ticketholders can ride around the circuit grounds and park up at a favourite viewing mound to watch the action.
