Woman stabbed at Fountain Gate

UPDATE 4.10PM:

POLICE are searching for a young woman after a 16-year-old Pakenham girl was stabbed in the neck near Fountain Gate Shopping Centre and airlifted to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition.

Ambulance officers were called to a Narre Warren bike path on Magid Drive near Fountain Gate about 1.10pm after reports the woman had been stabbed in the upper body.

Another woman, believed to be in her late teens, was seen running from the crime towards the shopping centre. She is described as Caucasian, of a solid build, dark hair and wearing a flannelette shirt.

 

EARLIER:

A TEENAGE woman is in a critical condition after being stabbed in the neck outside Fountain Gate Shopping Centre this afternoon.
Ambulance officers were called to the scene about 1.10pm after reports the woman had been stabbed in the upper body.
An ambulance spokesperson said the woman was treated at the scene and is expected to be airlifted to hospital, with helicopters currently circling the shopping centre.
