Raiders have two goes at robbery

Three men have been arrested after one failed and one successful armed robbery on a Narre Warren North service station and another raid in Mt Waverley early on 23 February.
After arresting the men, police found weapons dumped in a garden bed at a nearby residence.
Police said two of the men were armed with machetes and one with a shotgun during the raids.
A service station on Heatherton Road, Narre Warren North, was allegedly held up by the gang in an attempted armed robbery about 12.55am and then a successful armed robbery about 3.45am.
They were also allegedly involved in an armed robbery at a newsagency on Centre Way, Mt Waverley, about 4.30am.
The men were arrested by police in Glen Waverley about 15 minutes later.
