Fountain Gate axe attack

A man has been arrested after allegedly attacking a woman with an axe at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre on Monday 27 March, about 10am.
Police said the man violently attacked the woman, hitting her a number of times with the axe inside one of the shops at the shopping centre.
The woman was taken to hospital in a serious but non-life threatening condition.
Police believe the two were known to each other and are not treating the incident as random.
