Store down $800 on tent switch

By Cam Lucadou-Wells

A man has allegedly stolen an $840 tent by deceptive means from a Narre Warren camping store.
On 21 September, the man is believed to have switched the tent into a cheaper tent’s packaging in the store at the Princes Highway shopping centre.
He allegedly paid just $44 as indicated on the price tag.
The next day, staff allegedly found a cheap tent left on the shelf without its packaging, and an $840 tent was missing.
Police investigators have released an image of a man who they believe can assist in their inquiries.
Any information to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestoppersvic.com.au.

Police would like to speak to this man in relation to an alleged camping store theft.
