Preps at Berwick Primary School celebrated their milestone 100 days of school yesterday (Wednesday).

In honour of the momentous occasion, the children dressed as students from 100 years ago and as people who are 100 years old.

The students had the opportunity to show off their costumes in a special parade.

They played old fashioned games in the afternoon such as hula hoops, quoits, bowling and elastics and to finish off their special day they participated in arts and craft activities in the classroom.

“I liked playing with the hula hoops because I could do it around my neck,” prep student Chase said.

Prep student Darren said his favourite part of the day was playing the different games and Scarlett’s favourite part was the party and eating the yummy food.

Student Audrey said, “I loved getting dressed up as an olden days princess.”

Methuki enjoyed making her costume with her mum. She made a dress, an apron and a bonnet.
