Motorcyclist dies in Narre Warren South

Police are investigating a pair of collisions involving motorcyclists in Narre Warren South and Clyde North on Friday night, 22 July, one of which resulting in the death of a rider.

Emergency services were called to Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road just before 8.30pm after report of a collision between a car and a motorcycle near Casey Central Shopping Centre.

The male motorcyclist died at the scene.

Earlier in the night a car had collided with a male motorcyclist on Berwick-Cranbourne Road in Clyde North.

The male motorcyclist was taken to hospital with critical injuries, police say.

On both occasions the driver of the car stopped at the scene and spoke with police.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collisions are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.

In what was a horror 24 hours on the roads, another two fatalities occurred, in separate incidents in Southbank and Mount Waverley, while a male motorcyclist was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a collision in Hoppers Crossing on Friday evening.
