Saturday Sharp-Shooters

It’s that time of the week again.

Ahead of today’s Outer East Premier Division netball, it’s time to take a look back at the best sharp-shooters of the competition, and who found the net the most in last weekend’s fixtures.

Woori Yallock’s Elizabeth Murphy leads all comers with 269 after her haul of 27 last Saturday.

27 appears to be a magic number for Murphy this season after recording it for the second time, and in fact, in eight of her nine games this season, Murphy has scored 27 or more goals.

Hot on Murphy’s tale is Wandin’s Abbey Gedge with 253.

Gedge made it a hat-trick of 30 plus performances with her 34 goals on the weekend.

Gedge’s 34-goal clinic wasn’t enough to take out the shooter of the week however, as Hayley Howard converted 35 goals for Olinda Ferny Creek.

So, here are the top-five sharp-shooters of the AFLOE Premier Division A Grade…

1. Elizaneth Murphy (Woori Yallock) 269

2. Abbey Gedge (Wandin) 253

3. Erin Bell (Narre Warren) 229

4. Hayley Howard (Olinda Ferny Creek) 227

5. Jessica Black (Upwey Tecoma) 179
