A DOVETON business will be among many to fundraise for Cancer Council Victoria this month.
Director of Platinum Real Estate Elvira Bafto is excited about the ‘magical morning tea’ which will be held on 15 May.
“We are doing a theme to make it more entertaining,” she said.
Ms Bafto said it has become an annual tradition for the company and she sees it as a great way to help the community.
“We want to give back,” she said.
“It’s about getting people together to appreciate how lucky we are.”
The initiative was taken on by the company due to both personal reasons for Ms Bafto and to give support to those who are suffering.
“A lot of people have suffered and have not had that extra bit of financial support,” said Ms Bafto.
“We are healthy and lucky, and a small donation and sacrifice can go a very long way.”
With 100 per cent of the donations going to the Cancer Council, Ms Bafto is hoping to meet the financial goals on the day, after doubling them last year.
“We are looking to at least meet our targets this year,” she said.
“I hope people come along and take an hour to show some support.”
Anyone can attend the morning tea hosted by Platinum Real Estate at the small cost of a gold coin donation.
Ms Bafto said food and refreshments will be provided and she is hoping to see a big crowd gather.
Those attending are asked to book by 15 May, with the event going from 11.30am until 12.30 on 18 May.
