NARRE Warren has a new Toastmaster’s Club.
The club was officially chartered in September.
The official club banner and certificates were presented by Bruce Hill, a prominent leader within Toastmasters District 73 which covers Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.
He was accompanied by other Toastmaster leaders, who were impressed with the fledgling club.
“I have been to six clubs in recent weeks, and by far this is the friendliest”, said Rhianna Blackthorn a visiting Toastmaster leader from Interstate.
Narre Warren Toastmasters Club is the second club formed out of Berwick Toastmasters Club in the last few years.
The club commenced with a six-week Speechcraft Course designed for those wanting some help with public speaking, and has been meeting since October, 2015.
In June the club fulfilled all the requirements to become an official club.
Toastmasters International was formed in 1924 and has over 280,000 members worldwide.
The organisation helps people develop in communication and leadership.
Guests are welcome to come to meetings every first, third and fifth Monday during school terms at Narre Warren Community Learning Centre – 1 Malcolm Court, Narre Warren
